I bought the Back to Basics (BTB) TEM-500 Egg & Muffin Toaster after my previous Black & Decker (B&D) Toaster Broiler broke down for some unknown reason. Now I am glad that I had to do away with the B&D giving way to BTB because this later model offers so much in a single gadget. The BTB is a multipurpose and versatile appliance that can be used to toast bread, heat meat and boil or scramble egg individually or simultaneously. You just have to introduce the ingredients of your choice for the sandwich stuffing and it pops out automatically in just 4 minutes. I got this for $29 and it is worth every penny.
This is an ideal machine that gives healthy and tasty quick bite in no time. This dependable Egg & Muffin Toaster can be used to prepare a royal breakfast with toast, sausage and poached egg or for a on the spot snack for the kids after school. This can make yummy toasts, sandwich: boiled, scrambled, poached egg and heat bacon, sausage and meat. This can be programmed to get the items done and set the timer for a late dinner or a breakfast welcoming you straight from the bed. This smart appliance is crafted in such a way that the egg and toast comes out at the same time so that the toast does not get cold by the time egg is poached. I love this intelligent factor of this machine and it is very rare.
This can boil 4 eggs simultaneously and the family can sit together for the breakfast. This comes with wide slot with ample slot and the breads of all thickness can be introduced without any need of squeezing them. It can take two slice of bread at a time. This is not suitable for bagel. This can be set to bake dark and light toast. The automatic shut off button works pretty well. This is equipped with a measuring cup that can be used to take the required amount of water for boiling the egg. This also gives information regarding the water requirement for hard or soft boiling. The crumb tray fairly catches the bread remains and can be detached for cleaning.
The BTB TEM-500 Egg & Muffin Toaster comes in a dimension of 7-1/5 x15-1/4 x 8-1/6 inches and the black plastic body looks chic and stylish. The plastic has a weird smell and it is mandatory to wash them thoroughly before use. Steaming is also advisable to flush the chemical smell from the new appliance. The plastic body not only has an aesthetic appeal but also serves as a protection guard from hot toaster. This does not get heated up and is cool to touch. The only problem with this toaster three in one appliance is that the juice from the sausage tray seeps down to the egg and makes it soggy.
